Getting there
The Musée d'Art Moderne stop on tram line B is two minutes' roll from the museum entrance. Tram B connects to the central station Gare Centrale in five stops. From the cathedral end of the Grande Île the walk is about 15 minutes on flat granite paving along the Ill, mostly avoiding cobbles.
At the entrance
Use the main doors on place Hans-Jean-Arp. The threshold is step-free and the doors open automatically. The ticket counter is at the back of the lobby; the desk has a low section for wheelchair users. Bag drop is on the left. Show your disability card here and the staff issue free tickets for you and one companion.
Inside
The permanent collection runs across one main upper floor reached by lift. Two temporary-exhibition wings open off the central atrium and are reached by the same lift. The Hans-Jean-Arp donation rooms are on a lower mezzanine, also lift-served. The rooftop café and terrace are reachable, but check whether they are open in winter before relying on the view.
Practical details
Wheelchairs are available on loan from reception; ask in French ('un fauteuil roulant, s'il vous plaît') or by gesture if needed. Photography without flash is allowed in the permanent collection. The cloakroom is on the ground floor and accepts coats and rucksacks. The shop is past the lobby and step-free.
